Flat Fee Business Formation
New business owners face countless challenges and to-do lists every day. If you are reading this and wondering if you need to register your business to protect yourself from personal liability, the answer is almost always a resounding YES. If you are operating your business as an unregistered sole proprietorship or partnership, you are putting your entire life’s work, savings, and financial future at risk.
We can help with our flat fee business formation services.
Our philosophy at Aventus Law is that superior legal service should be accessible and affordable. We take the guesswork out of the business formation and registration process by offering transparent flat rates. After all, you could get a quote for anything else, so why is it so hard to know how much your legal services will cost? With our flat fee business formation program, we seek to do away with dreaded retainers and hourly rates to offer our clients the best service and value.
We handle all the necessary steps to get your business up and running, from registration with Alabama’s Secretary of State to setting up an Employee Identification Number (EIN). Attorney Willie Scott is here to help protect you and your business and is always just a phone call or email away. No more paying an arm and a leg to LegalZoom or RocketLawyer to have them hand over the fate of your business to a “team” of robots — none of which provide actual legal advice.
Finally, if you set up your business through us, we never charge to serve as your registered agent! Suppose your business ever receives important legal notices. In that case, we accept delivery on your behalf and immediately notify you. Our litigation team is on standby, ready to take legal measures immediately. If you would like to learn more about how we may help you and your business, please do not hesitate to contact us today.
If your business only has one owner –referred to as “member” for LLCs– then you will most likely want to take advantage of our single-member LLC flat fee package.
The flat fee for forming a single-member LLC is $600.00 which includes all initial Secretary of State filing fees. One of our lawyers will meet with you and discuss your business goals and gather information. Once we have all the information needed, we will file your single-member LLC Certificate of Organization with the Secretary of State. From there, we take care of drafting your business’s internal governing documents including your Operating Agreement and registering your EIN with the Internal Revenue Service.
At the end of the short process (typically 10-14 days) you will have everything needed to set up a bank account in your new business’s name and begin operating your business.*
If your business has more than one owner, then this may be the best path for you.
The flat fee for forming a multi-member LLC is $850.00 which includes all initial Secretary of State filing fees. One of our lawyers will meet with the owners and discuss your business goals and gather information. Because your business will have multiple owners (“members”), we will want to make sure all owners are in agree on the general structure of the business, ownership percentages, how profits and losses will be allocated, and how major decisions of the business will be made. Once we have all the information needed, we will file your multi-member LLC Certificate of Organization with the Secretary of State. From there, we take care of drafting your business’s internal governing documents, including your Operating Agreement, and registering your EIN with the Internal Revenue Service.
At the end of the short process (typically 10-14 days), you will have everything needed to set up a bank account in your new business’s name and begin operating your business.
If your business will be controlled by a board of directors and officers and you plan on issuing stock then incorporating as a for-profit corporation might be the entity for you. While it requires the most formalities and filings, its structure lends itself to larger organizations with a traditional corporate leadership structure and shareholders.
The flat fee for forming a for-profit corporation is $1,050.00 which includes all initial Secretary of State filing fees. One of our lawyers will meet with the owners and discuss your business goals and gather information. Because your business will have multiple board members, officers, and directors, we will want to make sure that the business is structured to best suit your operations. Once we have all the information needed, we will file your for-profit Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of State. From there, we take care of drafting your business’s internal governing documents including your Corporate Bylaws and stock certificates, and registering your EIN with the Internal Revenue Service.
At the end of the short process (typically 10-14 days) you will have everything needed to set up a bank account in your new business’s name and begin operating your business.*
